Yesterday was such a great day. 7peaks with my sisters and the babies and lunch.
And then I came home to this.....
and this.....
(So excited to put these in my classroom.)
And this is when the best part of the day starts.....so please bear with my story. It really is quite entertaining.
Blake gave me a card that had a QR code I needed to scan. So after I opened the children's books and roses that he gave me, I used my hand dandy scanner on my phone and scanned away. I was taken to a website that read “pagoda piercing”. I cried. I was so scared. But I knew I couldn't turn him down. I knew I had to face my fears and get my ears pierced. On the way to the place I read one of my new books. I had 30 minutes to stress about what was going to happen. After I chatted with the ladies for a bit (and let them know how scared I was), it was that time...
(Don't let this look be deceiving....I was really laughing because I was so scared.)
(Notice the stuffed animals, sucker, and the huge grin on Blake's face.)
It didn't hurt that bad. It felt like I was being pinched. And that started to hurt me. Not bad though. Next thing I knew I was starting to feel nauseous. My body felt like it was sweating all over. All I could see was black and things spinning. I passed out for about a minute. Blake was trying to talk to me and keep me sitting up straight. I couldn't. After I felt good enough to stand up (like 5 minutes later) I saw a nail salon and asked Blake if I could get my nails done. He was a sweetheart and said yes. So I now had some pretty nails and my ears bejeweled. Lucky me.
(I was such a trooper, so Blake let me get a manicure.)
(I LOVE them!)
But that wasn't it. He took me to Ztejas in SLC to eat dinner. And then we went shopping.
I am truly grateful for all of my friends and family. I felt so special yesterday.
It was definitely a birthday that I will NEVER forget. Truly memorable.
So happy Blake made me do this.
