It's A......

GIRL!!

On Monday, we had our 20 weeks ultrasound appointment.  (Well, it was my 18 weeks 6 days appointment.)  When we entered the room, I told the technician that we did not want to be told the gender at our appointment.  She told me she would write it down for us and seal it in an envelope.  The second that the ultrasound started, I got teary eyed.  It was so amazing to see all the little parts of our baby.  Blake was there with me and so was my mom.  I loved having them there in the room with me.  It was such a neat experience.  The technician was trying to figure out the gender of our baby, but our baby was being stubborn.  The cord was wrapped between the legs, and this baby wouldn't move enough to get the cord out, so that the technician could see.  So, we decided it would be a good idea for me to get up and walk up and down the halls and do a few jumping jacks.  Well, I did just that because I wanted to know the gender of this baby.  I came back into the room, and the technician said she was 90% sure of the gender, and by the end if she wasn't 100% sure then they would have me come back for a follow up a different day.  But, we left with an envelope in hand.  Everything looks good with our sweet baby.  The doctor said that the heartbeat is at about 160 and that everything is beautiful.  I love hearing our doctor say that!  We got back for another appointment in 3 weeks.  I love going to my appointments and hearing our baby's heartbeat.  Its just amazing!

We are beyond excited to welcome this sweet baby girl into our family at the beginning of February.  We feel so blessed! This little girl is already so loved by many.

18 weeks and 5 days

Tomorrow we find out if we are lucky enough to have a boy or girl join our little
family. We are so excited to finally know.

Ogden temple open house

Last weekend we were able to attend the Ogden Temple Open House with Blake's parents and a lot of his extended family. It is a beautiful temple.

New hair

A couple weeks ago I decided to color my hair. Well- I decided to go even more with the melt or ombré. And apparently now there is a new name for it.....marbled hair (thanks mom!).
It's a perfect change!

Here are some things my adorable 3rd graders have said to me about my new look:

- "Mrs. Miller....you ruined your hair." And then an hour later she told me how much she loves it. A week later she kept telling me how good it looks and that she loves it, so I asked her why she told me I ruined it. She had a good reason, "it just took me a little bit of time to get used to.

- You painted your hair." Ummm yes...that is what I did (kind of).

- In the mornings I stand outside my classroom and shake the kids hands while they enter. One girl shook my hand and said "you aren't my teacher. You aren't Mrs. Miller." It took me a little bit of time to reassure her that- yes, it was me.
